Greetings from the Florida Center for Students with Unique Abilities at UCF
Due to Hurricane Irma and its continuing effects on our State, we are postponing our Florida Postsecondary Education Program Planning Institute, scheduled for September 27 – 29, 2017 at the Hilton Orlando/Altamonte Springs.
More than 62% of our participants were coming from areas in Florida directly impacted by Irma. We do not want participation in the Institute to create additional stress or anxiety as people are trying to get back to work, resume classes, and clean up our cities and neighborhoods.
If you made your hotel reservations directly with the Hilton, please cancel them ASAP to avoid any cancellation fees. FCSUA will cancel all reservations we made for individuals.
We are in the process of selecting a date and venue for the Institute later this fall, and hope to have this information by the end of this week. We will email all our presenters, facilitators, and participants as soon as we have it, and will post this information on our website at fcsua.org, as well as through our social media accounts.
